Equipment Introduction:

The convex height gauge is suitable for testing the convex height of composite films and foils in the packaging industry. It is particularly suitable for composite films and foils such as "aluminum/polyethylene cold-formed solid pharmaceutical composite rigid sheets," i.e., suppository films.

This instrument uses high-quality steel as its base material and a high-precision dial indicator as its measuring head. The pressure is adjusted via a pressure regulating valve to measure the bulge height of the composite membrane. The upper plate employs a double-sealing ring structure to ensure the instrument's airtightness and the accuracy of the bulge height measurement.

Equipment Parameters:

(1) The area of the protruding part of this instrument is 50 square centimeters.

(2) The maximum protrusion height is not less than 25mm.

(3) The accuracy is 0.01mm.

(4) External dimensions (mm): Length 300 * Width 230 * Height 250;

(5) Net weight 6kg;

Main Configuration:

The instrument body, pressure regulating valve, and dial indicator.

Power source: Ordinary gas source

Operating Steps:

Before using this instrument, connect the air source (8mm air hose) and confirm that the dial indicator head is in the center of the circle. Adjust the wing nut on the dial indicator lifting rod until the indicator head slightly touches the bottom plate, then tighten the lifting rod nut. Cut the composite membrane to be tested to a size slightly larger than the device panel. Place the composite membrane flat between the upper and lower clamping plates at a 45-degree angle, and tighten the wing nut on the upper plate. Zero the dial indicator reading. Slowly rotate the pressure regulating valve clockwise and observe the dial indicator reading. When the dial indicator reading reaches the test requirement, stop rotating the pressure regulating valve. This will maintain the height of the convex dome and achieve the required test index. After the test, rotate the pressure regulating valve counterclockwise to shut off the air pressure, loosen the upper plate nut, and remove the sample (if necessary, the left exhaust valve can be opened to release pressure).

Note: Rotate the pressure regulating valve slowly, as there is a possibility of pressure overshoot. If necessary, stop rotating early and observe the pressure and height changes before slowly increasing the pressure. Some composite membranes may rupture and make a popping sound during testing, which is normal. In this case, quickly rotate the pressure regulating valve counterclockwise and close the air valve.
