Operating Instructions:
1. After removing the outermost 3-5 turns of adhesive tape from the test roll, unroll the test roll at a speed of approximately 300 mm/min (for sheet-shaped test pieces, remove the release liner at the same speed). Every 200 mm or so, cut a test piece approximately 25 mm wide and 100 mm long from the middle of the adhesive tape. Unless otherwise specified, each set of test pieces shall contain no fewer than three pieces.
2. Wipe the test plate and loading plate with a cleaning agent using a wiping material, then carefully dry them with a clean gauze. Repeat this cleaning process three times. Continue until the working surface of the plate is visually inspected and found to be clean. After cleaning, do not touch the working surface of the plate with your hands or other objects.
3. Under conditions of 23℃±2℃ and relative humidity of 65%±5%, according to the dimensions specified in Figure 2, attach the sample parallel to the longitudinal direction of the plate to the middle of the adjacent test plate and loading plate. Roll the sample with a pressure roller at a speed of approximately 300 mm/min. Note that during rolling, only the force generated by the mass of the pressure roller should be applied to the sample. The number of rolling cycles can be specified according to the specific product; if not specified, roll back and forth three times.
4. After the sample is pasted onto the plate, it should be placed at a temperature of 23℃±2℃ and a relative humidity of 65%±5% for 20 minutes. Then, the test plate is vertically fixed on the test frame of the instrument, and the loading plate and weights are gently connected with pins.
5. Place the instrument horizontally, turn on the power switch, heating switch, and fan switch in sequence, and press the raised part on the timer to reset the time to zero. The instrument will automatically start according to the preset temperature until the temperature inside the test chamber stabilizes at the set value;
6. After the specified time has elapsed, remove the weight. Use a graduated magnifying glass to measure the displacement of the sample as it slides down, accurate to 0.1 mm; or record the time it takes for the sample to detach from the test plate. For times greater than or equal to 1 hour, record in minutes; for times less than 1 hour, record in seconds.
