Test Purpose
It is suitable for initial tack testing of various adhesive products, such as pressure-sensitive tapes, medical patches, self-adhesive labels, and protective films.
Test Principles
The inclined plane rolling ball method is used to test the initial tack of a sample by observing the adhesion of the adhesive tape to the steel ball when a steel ball and the adhesive surface of the pressure-sensitive tape sample come into brief contact under slight pressure. A rolling ball is passed over the adhesive tape surface placed flat on an inclined plane, and the initial tack of the test product is evaluated based on the largest steel ball number that can be adhered to by the adhesive surface of a specified length.
The instrument meets multiple national and international standards: GB/T 4852, JIS Z0237
